We have had the pleasure of designing and making a lovely leaded light for a local school.

It was commissioned to commemorate a teacher who sadly passed away, and we were given the school emblem, an image of Mary, and a pupils wonderful drawing to work with.

The school was very happy with the design we came up with, which included all the desired images and based on the schools colours. It had several stained glass sections we did here, and lovely little sandblasted children holding hands around the globe.

Please see our gallery for photos of the finished window soon, and here are a few images of it in production.

(don’t forget to like us on Facebook!)

We are wondering when our next owl window will be asked for, we do at least one of some sort as the dark nights close in…

Helen is proving to be far too helpful in the double glazing department and the design room now have to share her. I am sure she is a great help for the busy lads at the Lime Kiln site, as long as she doesn’t abandon us for good. We have started to put in a few samples at that site that can be seen from the main road, we hope they are looking good for the queuing cars. The design department and offices are still in Northwood so that’s the place to come as usual for all enquiries.

There has been quite a lot of personal bad news at the firm lately and we are all supporting each other as best we can, and thank you for all the kind comments from our regular customers.

They are producing thousands of very high quality units, with all the energy rated know how needed, including warm edge spacer, argon gas and Planitherm glass where required. The team are so busy but are getting back to the quick production we are known for.

And we are pleased to say that Brendon is back from his month in Australia, he decided we are too wonderful to leave for good!

The design department is busy too, with lots of fantastic commissions coming in, including three lovely leaded lights with a simple grass design, a sunburst circle window, and some art deco reproductions. Photos will be added to the gallery when they are completed.

We have sold a few old vintage leaded lights we have had in for a while this week, but we still have plenty left, including some simple original art deco toplights. Please call in any time to have a look if you love old period windows, or to commission a new leaded light using some of our stock of beautiful vintage glass.
