Sandblasting

Sandblasting is a technique that can create beautiful windows and doors which range in style from traditional Victorian deigns to striking modern pieces. In repair projects, we use sandblasting to recreate old acid etched glass.

We have used sandblasting in conjunction with coloured film and fused tiles to crate some of our favourite contemporary glass panels. Sandblasting is an ideal medium for designs containing text and lettering such as over door toplights and glass plaques

Fused Glass

We can make all types of fused glass at modern glass, from dishes, coasters, tiles and amazing kitchen splashbacks, to jewellery and even feet. Our kiln also allows us to make custom obscure glass for windows, doors and wall hangings.

We are lucky enough to have two kilns at modern glass and love to make fused glass to be used as stand alone items or to be incorporated in stained glass panels..

Fused tiles like this can be bonded on to glass to create striking contemporary designs
